Welcome!

Discover the Wonders of the Canadian West that my delegation and I have experienced through the People to People Student Ambassador Program, for two weeks during the summer of 2006!  See 'Pre- Travel' and figure out what I had to do to travel through Western Canada, go to 'Behind the  Scenes' to see all the emails that were sent during the trip, take a glance at 'My Photos' to see all the truly amazing sites I saw in Canada,  take time to read 'Thoughts From My Delegation About This Trip' to see what my delegation thought about the trip, learn 'A Little Bit About Canada' by looking at all of the fast facts, and check out 'My Journaling' to see my point of view for this trip!

Before the trip...
The role of a Student Ambassador is for a student to represent one's country impressively, or just in a good way. For me to be a Student Ambassador means the world to me and I think it is just such a great honor to be picked to be a Student Ambassador to go to Canada and I can't wait to go and represent my country.

Being Ambassadorial means being/acting like a good Ambassador.

I've learned that People to People was founded by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956 because he wanted to promote peace, understanding, friendship, and respect.  Then, when America's children went to different countries, they could gain more knowledge and leadership in hopes to bring peace world-wide and make the United States of America a better country in the future.

After the Trip...
I have learned so much about the world by joining this program and going to Canada.  I realized that people are people even though we all have different beliefs, cultures, and lifestyles.  This program has taught me so much about people by giving me such a life changing opportunity.
