Here are some thoughts about the trip that my delegation had!

Thoughts...

I really had a wonderful experience, this was my first time traveling by myself and it was my first plane flight.  The things I saw were so amazing that words cannot explain the beauty I saw. I learned I could mingle with all types of people and also live with them for a short period of time.  I've really grown up from this trip thanks to my friends and delegation leaders -Taylor Washington

I really liked going to Canada with all of these other ambassadors.  They gave me a really great time and always made me laugh.  I liked going to all of the different places as well.  My favorite would have to be Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump.  That was really cool how we got to sleep in teepees.  I just want to give a shout-out to Jacob, Jay and Mitchell. Thanks you guys for always making me laugh.  You guys are great!!!  I really miss everyone and the trip was awesome!!!!!!!!!! -Abbey Burnett

The Wonders of the Canadian Rockies trip was a very diverse and multicultural program.  I enjoyed sleeping in the teepees and walking on the Athabasca glacier.  We were able to talk about and share our culture with people from the Hutterite colony and the Blackfoot tribe.  We learned about and saw a lot of Canadian wildlife, such as wolves, grizzly bears, elk, long-horned sheep, cougars, and buffalo (to name a few).  We even got to learn about the dinosaurs from long ago.  Overall, I feel that all of the delegates had at least several new life experiences. -Ms. Jenny Wickle

My favorite part of our trip was the whale watching. It was totally awesome. I also really liked the dinosaur museum and digging for dinosaur fossils. The most memorable part of our trip for me was making all the new friends I did, especially with the people who guided us through Canada: Mr. Brian, Mr. Lyle and Ms. Jamie.  I am proud to have been chosen for this program and hope to embark on many more exciting adventures with the People to People organization. I am proud to be a part of such an awesome group of Student Ambassadors and future leaders of tomorrow. -Jacob Runyon

I thought the trip went well.  We saw some of the history of Canada. My favorite part about the trip was seeing all the animals in there natural habitat (well, most of them).  My second favorite part was seeing how the Blackfoot people used to live; just finding out before the trip that I was part Indian interested me.  Also, the Royal Tyrell museum was interesting, to see something that old in front of you is just amazing!
-Forest Wilkerson

I liked going whale watching because how many do you know people can say that they have seen a whale in its natural habitat, besides the ones at Sea World.  My favorite thing was the Blackfoot dances, I mean we got to be part of a ceremony where we watched hundreds of year old dances and a couple of dances we were able to join in (the potato dance!)  I also thought that the most beautiful place was Banff with all the mountains, and the rivers, and waterfalls in Johnston Canyon. Also, the Calgary Tower was pretty cool. -Anna Wunderlin

I thought that the trip was actually kind of fun and was a GREAT learning experience!  I met a lot of new friends on the trip and still have contact with them!  It was overall pretty good. -Rebecca Galdamez
